I have a Westell Versa Link Model 327W, and I cannot connect to the internet via the lan ports in the back of the modem. I can connect to the wireless internet just fine. I have already tried hard resetting the modem, and resetting back to default settings. Shouldn't lan connection ALWAYS work by default? I don't understand why I would even need to bother with the settings at all to get LAN to work.
When I connect an ehternet cable to a PC (tried 3 different PC's) it would detect a connection (aquiring ip address), and the immediately disconnect after 10 seconds or so. I cannot figure out why. I have tried two different ethernet cables as well.
Do I need to update the firmware? Could somebody please provide a link to where I can download it?
Thanks.

We couldn't find a solution to the problem. Verzion ended up replacing the modem with a newer model. You should probably do the same.
