Hi,

Im having trouble with my Westell Versalink 7500 Modem/Router Gatway.

I can't seem to be able to portforward on it properly. Every method ive tried and nothing.

I'm trying to portforward the following ports, 8080-8083. Here are some screen shots if they help.

Once I add the new rule I check at

www.canyouseeme.org and I get this.....

Error: I could not see your service on 96.247.**.** on port (8080)
Reason: Connection timed out

Please anyone I really need these ports open.

Thank You.

#1 What is the name and version of your OS?

#2 What software firewall is on your computer?

#3 At the portforwarding screen, select host.

Okay nvm i got it working but one thing that has been bothering me.

When I enter my IP in my browser its says Connection Interrupted . But Under a friends or someone elses IP

I seem to be able to access my hosted services on my network. Just dosent work under my own IP.

Example:

Under my IP/Network:

Open browser

Type in 71.***.***.**:8080 in address bar.

Redirects to "Connection Interrupted" page.

Under a Proxy/Other IP Network:

Open brower

Type in 71.***.***.**:8080 in address bar.

Redirects to "My Hosted Services On My Network" page.

Anyway to make it work under my own network also?

Ok, I am glad that you got that solved. 🙂

About the issue that you discovered, it has to be one of two things.

#1 The router has loopback support turned off.

#2 OR it does not have loopback support.

And if does not have loopback support, see as need be:

portforward.com -> forum -› Knowledge Base -› router does not have loopback support
