When I am watching video on Youtube/Google or Yahoo etc etc, the videos pause and constantly buffer. I have the 3 mb plan and don;t see why this is happening. I disable hardware acceleration in flash player and it made no difference. Here are my stats.

I have a Westell 6100 Modem connected to a DLink DI524 router. I am using PPPoe mode and Windows XP SP3 firewall. I played around with the Rwin settings and it worked temporarily but as of this morning back to the same old.
Thanks.

#1 Did you follow the FAQ that is listed at
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/13600
?
#2 If not, do not do that at this time.
#3 In the DI-524, go to Home -> Wireless.
#4 Is Wireless in the router, turned on?
#5 Is any Wireless Security Enabled (WEP/WPA)?
#6 In the DI-524, go to Tools -> MISC.
#7 I would make sure that UPnP in the router, is turned off.
#8 In the DI-524, go to Advanced -> Filters.
#9 Select MAC Filters.
#10 Are any MAC Filters in place?

Wireless is turned on ( I am also using a laptop on my network)
Using WPA PAK (Tkip) security encryption
UPnp was enabled, I turned it off.
No mac filters enabled at all.
Coincidently, my laptop on the same network does not have the buffering problem with videos. Seems to be related to the desktop only. I just updated the driver for my Motherboard based ethernet adapter and that did not solve anything.

Ok, so we now know it has something to deal with the Desktop.
#1 What OS and Version do you use on it? For example, Windows XP.
#2 What software firewall is on your computer? For example, the one built into Windows XP
#3 What is anything else where you doing while watching the videos? Examples: sending/receiving e-mail, torrenting..

This may also be related to your browser settings. How much space does your browser have set to use for temporary internet files? If this number is very low, it may be that your browser simply runs out of space.
