Would like to know if I need to carry out last step of canceling tcp/ip connection, in changing the westell 7500 to bridge mode?

Also, would that knock out the wireless usb adapter also a linksys,. If so how would I restore the tcp/ip connection. Would I need to reinstall the adapter?

Verizon says routed bridge.

#2 Despite it's title, follow this FAQ

http://www.dslreports.com/faq/13600

This includes using a wired connection to the modem.

They say to turn Wireless on.

Do not do do that.

You will need to set the wireless card/NIC to connect to your Wireless Linksys router.

Please follow the directions in the manual/user's guide that came with your Linksys router.
