Ok, I want you to try something.

#1 Download that tool that addresed in that FAQ.

#2 No idea of how to do that, only read (do not attempt to do what is told) on

http://www2.verizon.net/help/westell_upgrade/westell2110.asp

#3 Now have your computer is directly connected to the modem.

#4 Press and hold the reset button on the back of your modem, while you unplug and replug in the power to the modem.

#5 If you have no idea of what I mean by this reset switch.

I went to Google, typed in B90-210015-04, Clicked Images, clicked on the Wirespeed B90-210015-04

125 x 100 - 4k - jpg from pcliquidations.com

and I clicked on See Full Image Size.

On the back of this modem, from left to right: Phone Connection, USB Connection (if Used), Power Connection, Reset Switch/button, and Ethernet Connection (if you do not want to use the USB).

#6 Then install that tool, that is addressed in that FAQ.

Ok, let us try that a little bit different.

#1 Reset the modem as I told you to.

#2 Make sure that you are online while behind your router.

#3 Download the tool that was addressed in that FAQ to your computer.

#5 Disconnect the router from the modem.

#5 Disconnect your computer from the router.

#6 Set your computer to use a Static IP.

As how to, will depend on your OS and Version.

a) For example if on Windows XP

b) Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections.

c) Go to the NIC (if there is only one, listed), and right click and go to properties.

d) Note on: http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm

they have two listed.

e) If more than NIC listed, go to the one that was connected to your router.

f) Click on properties.

g) Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and select properties.

h) Set the IP Address to 192.168.1.9

And for the subnet, set it to 255.255.555.0

You can leave the default gateway and DNS Servers, alone - since we do not need them for what we are trying to do.

i) Press Ok, press ok, press close.

#7 Connect your computer directly to the modem.

#8  Wait at least 2 minutes.

#9 Now, install the tool.

#10 Once Installed, don't forget to use ** CTRL-ALT-F7 ** to reveal several "hidden" tabs, the signal levels and error counters, so forth.

#11 Go to the DSL tab, and take a screen shot of what you see.

#12 Disconnect your computer from the modem.

#13 Reconnect the router to the modem.

#14 Change your computer back to use DHCP.

#15 Reconenct your computer to the router.

#16 And reconnect, back to the net.

Show a screen shot of what you saw in the DSL tab.

I guess you could use tinypic.com (or some other image hosting service) to host the image.

Hmm..

I am not sure, but I have an idea.

Connect your modem directly to the NID, and run those stats.

Opening the NID, as long you only open the customer side will not void anything.

Do not try to open up the teleco side, as this is illegal.

ok. so our internet line went out and a verizon service person came to fix it and he also separated the phone from the dsl. now the problem that makes the internet slow down should be fixed, but now after i got a new router i cannot connect to the internet through my belkin router. i set the modem to bridge it instead of acting as a router, and the router says the connection is ok but if i try to connect to the internet through the router, i cant. i can only connect if i plug the modem into the computer directly and set it to pppoe. so what should i do?
