new modem

I was having connection problems with my 6100 modem and wrt54g router. Verizon said they thought it was the modem and were sending a new one. I have gotten the connection back working on it myself. If I want to connect the new modem ,as mine is 6 years old , is it going to be a big hassle?

Well I got the old modem working which is a good thing. Verizon was supposed to be sending the new one to me last Tuesday and said it would take 2 days. Here it is a week later no modem . I called they have no record of an order to send me one. Customer service is a huge joke. Real close to cancelling Veizon.

If the old Westell 6100 is working fine now, hang onto it until it croaks. Those older modems in my opinion are far more reliable. My 6100 from Verizon is 6-7 years old now and is working strong.

If you really need to, just go out and buy a modem if Verizon won't send one (they're literally $20-30). There's nothing else to it.
