I'm using a westel 6100F modem provided by verizon when i first setup my internet connection years ago. I've started to have problems with it. Am wondering if verizon is hitting me with a monthly charge for my modem.
Check your bill to see if there's a monthly charge. Back when the Westell 6100s were handed out, Verizon typically only charged for modems if you opted into a Modem Protection plan. Otherwise, the modem was provided for free as a part of the service.
What sort of problem are you seeing with the modem?
