Is there a way to temporarily disable modes without deleting them?

If your Mode turns something on then just create a mode to turn the device off. That essentially disables the first mode until you run it again.

I see your point but the mode I am using is to record on camera when motion detects movement. If I leave the house and motion detect is off the Droid app I am using has no function to change device settings.

Yes that seems to be a limitation. Hopefully they'll update that. As a workaround I leave my camera on with Motion Detection enabled. When I am at home I press the privacy button on the camera which essentially turns it off. Then when I go out I turn it back on. I also created a mode to turn the camera on which I can use remotely. I think that will disable the privacy mode. The entire system can be tweaked to make it more useful and I assume they'll do that if they want to make a market for it.
