I currently have the FIOS residential service but am switching to the FIOS business service (with a static IP address) over the next week. I would like to host a web site for my home business and have been told that I should do this by configuring my router to forward connections on port 80. However, I would like to have a general purpose Internet connection (for private use as opposed to my business web site) that is more secure than port 80. With Verizon residential service, I currently have an ActionTec router with 4 ports. Additionally, I have purchased a Cisco-Linksts Wireless-N Gigabit router for my web connection. I am thinking of connecting to my web server from one of my ActionTec ports through the Cisco-Linksts Wireless-N Gigabit router .
I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to set up the port 80.
Thanks,
Peter.

I don't know the full answer, but I know part of it.
A VPN would help.
