I just received mine yesterday. It's an actual Caller ID that allows you to block numbers, area codes, etc., I'm still learning how to use it, but I do know that it has a block feature, an invite feature and an invite vip feature.

I have Verizon FIOS...voice, which is digital. I have a regular landline phone and have the Digitone connected to that. I had to do a factory reset once, but only because I think I accidentally hit block on a number that was on the VIP list. Other than that, it works pretty well.
