Typically you will only get a credit when a service you pay for is not available (ie all of your phone or cable not just one part).

Same here. At first it was working intermittently, not at all for two weeks. Error message says Verizon is having technical difficulty with digital voice logs, and are working on the problem. Technical support has no clue what the problem is, and says there is no outage
