Changing phone number

I am disabled and can't race to the phone each time it rings. I have answering machine that does pick up the calls.

At least 15 times a day the phone rings, the machine comes and whoever is on the other end listens to entire message and then hangs up. I am also being harassed by a few collections agencies looking for somebody that does not live in my home.

I have Lifeline and I was wondering if its possible to have your phone number changed and what the process is?

Can you do it online or much you speak with a agent?

Hi, I have a number here you can call about harassing phone calls 800-257-2969.  They will be able to assist you and either get your phone number changed or put you thru to someone who can.
