They didn't even tell me they were setting me up for this or that I had to activate it (even though people could leave messages, I coudn't retreive them).
How do I deactiviate or set the # of rings to a higher number, such as 10. If I'm home I want to turn it off but can't figure out how. If I'm in the basement or outdoors I don't even get to the phone before it goes to voice mail.
Why does Verizon make things so hard? With my answering machine I can either turn it on or off with a tiny touch of the finger.

I beleive you can control some aspects of your phone service (if you have Fios Digital Voice) using the Fios Voice Account manager https://www.verizon.com/fiosvoice otherwise, you can calll into tech support maybe and they might know.
