We have the DND function set up on a schedule.

 

Every day turn on DND at 11PM and turn off the next morning at 7AM. 

 

It seems to work fine - UNLESS someone calls during the hours when DND is activated.  The call goes directly to voicemail after the caller is informed that we're not taking any calls at this time, and the house phone does not ring.

 

This is exactly what DND is supposed to do

 

EXCEPT that once turned on, and a call is received and sent to VM during the active hours, DND does not turn off at 7AM.

 

DND stays on.  And on.  Unless you go MyVerizon and turn it off

 

It's a great feature, and I wish it could be fixed,  Sometimes we go for days wondering - why haven't we received any calls?

I''m afraid this problem  is not new.  I also had trouble with this system from the beginning of my Digital Voice Service.  Evidently it has not yet been repaired.  See for example:

We are also having this problem for some time now. The DND feature when accessed and Activated at MyVerizon at a schedule (ex.: 7pm - 9am the next day) to go to VM and to repeat  for a number of days pretty much redirects all incoming calls through out the day to VM and not following the set schedule. If I manually Deactivate DND, then all calls go through. Has any one from Verizon seen and is working on this issue?
