FIOS phone - how do I have my name appear on others caller id? It shows up as my state.

I've had nothing but trouble with FIOS phone but now that it is actually working I was told that our name  doesn't appear on caller id. Is that something I can change myself? I am done being on hold with them.

I have the opposite problem, this is a huge privacy issue, I don't want my name displayed, just my number, so I really wish they could set me up like you.

Is this occuring when calling someone in the Verizon area? If so, please contact technical support.  If it is occuring in another providers area (such as AT&T, Time Warner, etc) then it is up to those companies to update their databases to reflect the proper information.
