I had FIOS Digital Voice and Internet installed on Friday. As of this morning, my voice mailbox does not appear to be active. I dialed the 888-234-6786 number and after I entered my phone number and #, it said that was not a valid mailbox on the system. I also tried the Digital Voice Account Manager on-line and there were no options on the left side for voice mail configuration. There was a record of incoming and outgoing calls in the logs so the Account Manager knows that my phone number exists.
Even though it's free, voice mail is an individual feature that has to be present on your account to use it. Contact customer service to have your account checked to see if the feature is present or not.
