Online payments get hung up

I go online and sign in to pay  my bill (one time payment) and after the page where I tell the system how much I'm paying, i click the continue button. The next page header appears, the rightside menu bar appears, the footer appears, and then a circle of red dots appear and the circle forever rotates and never quits. I've phoned every phone number I can find but only get automated systems and none of the FAQs apply to this issue of webpage hanging.

I'd love to talk to a human being, or don't they work at Verizon anymore?

Sorry you are having difficulty, an agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information to help you resolve your issue.

In the meantime, have you tried clearing your cache and cookies, and trying a different browser?

I'm having the same issue.  This is my first bill with Fios, and I just need to know if i "cancel" or go back, & try paying again, will i be charged twice?  How can i verify my payment was made?
