With FIOS phone service, is there a way to get a .wav or other file sent to your cell phone with recorded message when someone leaves a voice message? Similar to office VOIP systems?

This is easily done, assuming you are able to receive email via your mobile phone.  You can have the VZ Digital Voice service send an email with an attached .wav file to any mailbox, including the mailbox you access from your cell phone.

1.  Go to www.verizon.com/fiosvoice and log in with user name and password.

2.  In the left column select Voice Mail Settings.

3.  On the next page in the middle column select Voice Mail Notifications.

4.  Check the "Sending me an email" box and enter the appropriate email address.

Now when you receive a voice mail message, an email is sent to the selected address and you can listen to the attached .wav message.  Remember that VZ Digital voice also allows you to either forward all calls to your cell phone, or have the calls ring simultaneously on both phones.  All these options can be set in the same place where the above adjustments are accomplished.
