i use to have services with vonage and now dont have thier services. i want to port that number to my current digital voice verizon number. how to do that
I am pretty sure you can only port an active working number. you might have to turn it back on with vonage temporarily while verizon retrieves it. I would double check with their customer service. You can call them at 800 VERIZON or do the chat support link at the bottom of the page that says contact us
I'm sure the number is still free. Since you don't own that number anymore Vonage would have to be willing to part with it. There is nothing on their end saying that have to release it. You should have done that when you set up Fios services. I ported my number from Vonage to VZ without issue but it was a handoff between the two. As the previous poster indicated call VZ support.
