Regarding DFW (my VHO is 01), I had the "almost here" message on my main menu for almost 2 weeks.  Then it went away several days ago.  No email, no update...  I thought maybe we had been pushed forward due to the strike up north and then as soon as the strike ends, our local message goes away.

I hope that I don't have that much time to go before I get to retire....

With the strike and the hurricane getting more distant in our rear view mirror hoping to be done with all the boxes before Thanksgiving.

Going west shortly after the holiday week... then back east again a few weeks later.

I could always make this go faster by not listening to and then acting on customer feedback... but I happen to think the iterations with customers has made 1.9 much better than it would have been otherwise.

Got to also agree with nascar and Joe_Ambeault on this one on.    Customer feedback is what makes a product even better.  Verizon did and was listening:  "the iterations with customers has made 1.9 much better than it would have been otherwise."

Joe, you got me excited when you told me that I'd get to use my eSATA drive before Halloween in Whittier, CA. And then my menu screen told me it was coming, I even got an email with more details... But alas, no 1.9!

My question is, what should I do to make sure my STB is ready to make your acquaintance, soon? Should I make sure there are no overnight DVR recordings scheduled? Should I leave it on and active or turn it to stand by? Should I randomly hard reboot the device so it goes an checks out if there are any upgrades to grab?

Let me know,
Jimmy

Nothing to do...

Cali is next on the hit parade.  I usually don't promise dates, but if I did I should be golden for you and your fellow west coasters.

Any idea where Northern Virginia sits on the list? I just checked my box and am still at 1.8/

Thanks,

Joe, what precisely is the plan for MA/Boston?  Is it a town by town, city by city rollout?  Or an entire region?  Do you move North to South or East to West?  Just trying to understand the logistics.

Thank you.
