Yes, we here in Mass and NYC still waiting. Joe is testing our patience - how long we can wait until some of us will finally give up and switch back to DirectTV or elsewhere. I am starting to seriously regret that I signed up for FIOS TV.  if I knew that I will have to deal  with such unprofessional IMG development team and such disrespect from Verizon management towards customers keeping us in total darkness, I would stay with DirectTV.

Alden, I really dont understand why you are so upset?  Do you have a good picture?  Can you record and watch your DVR?  I'm sure you are the type of person that will be here complaining about 1.9.  Enough already!!!!

I heard they were going to wait until 2.0a-z and the img that could do everything everyone wants everywhere. Then the people in NYC and Boston Mass will be happy. I like it and was glad to get it, have tinkered with it, but the TV is still a TV. Still has two tuners so conflicts keep me from filling my drive. So Alden you may not like it. You know the old saying, be careful what you wish for. I have been around since C&P then B.A. and now VZ. I think with C&P we had to drop the phone receiver in the 300 baud modem cups.

AS I said in my own thread, yes the tv works and the picture is good. That is not the source  of our dissapointment with Verizon...

1) Part of why I signed up over a year ago was that, upon my questioning, I was told specific hardware capabilities were shortly coming in the the new "upgrade". These functionalities are relevant to my house and the way I watch TV, like added storage and multi hub interface.  I sacrificed them switching from DTV to FIOS. Server congestion really isnt my problem, they should have the infrastructure and manpower to deal with the burgeoning customer base.

2) Many customers have these new features for many months already.

3) No communication of any sort from company to customers regarding repeated delays, reordering etc.. They can show a banner on my screen saying it is almost here, but no banner or message when it mysteriously disappears.

And BTW almost all the verizon defenders amongst you already have the upgrade...

Ok I agree with you, but I was expected to be last and was waiting. VHO4 out of Silver Spring MD was scheduled to be last, as part of DAC 3. We just got lucky.

Jumpin68NY, I think you got your answer from this ABMCD....

However I want to add my comments too.

We upset because Verizon DELIBERATELY and WILLINGLY LIED to us for many, many months. They promised that we get 1,9 and ability for extra storage almost the day we signed for FIOS ( I also signed exactly one year ago with a HARD PROMISE THAT I WILL GET 1.9 NO LATER THEN January of 2011). Now it's November 6th and we are stll don't have new IMG. I  AM PAYING FULL PRICE FOR THE SERVICE LIKE YOU DO, but unlike you, I don't have the features of new IMG  VERIZON PROMISED ME TO DELIVER UPON SIGNING. I don't care about problems they have for not timely delivery of new IMG - if I would have financial problem and would not be able to pay Verizon bill they will cut my service without any consideration of my problems. So why I should forgive Verizon for the mistreatment of NYC and Boston customers? They have problems with server? Fix it, for crist sake, work day and night, or give us discount price for service if you are unable to fulfill your promise on time. I don't know where you work and how your manager will react if you will be late on your project by a year or so, but if I would be this late in my work I would be fired many months ago. But it looks like Verizon IMG management and development team does not feel any guilt at all - they even don't bother to apologize to customers. Instead they stopped communication altogether,  no presence on forum, no messages, no nothing. So this is why I am, and I guess others, so upset - I feel that Verizon does not respect me whatsoever:  Verizon respects, however, my money and takes it even without delivering what was promises to be delivered...

I will admit that considering Verizon is a communication's company they don't communicate very well.
