Tech Support has given me a number of update dates, the last one being 11-27-11. I have been given four dates that have come and gone since June. The reason I was given in Oct for our area not being updatd is there are allot of issues with the boxes in our area and the 1.9 roll out. Give me a break. I purchased a external SATA drive because of what I read here on Verizon's site to expand your memory and I can't use it. God I could have waited and saved some money on the drive. Now because I waited based on dates given by Verizon I cannot return the drive and wait, and wait, and wait. I love the picture and service but this is getting to be the end of the line. I have the whole home DVR that needs 1.9 to be fully functional as I was told it would be by Summers end the latest, then Sep, then Oct, THEN NOV and now it is Dec and nothing.

I'm just outside of Boston, I just did a live chat with a verizon rep, he said they expect to roll it out in my market "3rd week of January".  I wonlt be holding my breath.

A few weeks ago, my coworker purchased a FIOS package for the first time, and with it he got a new Cisco DVR with a 500 GB drive. I asked him to confirm what the software IMG version was, and he confirmed it was 1.9. So apparentley, new customers are getting the 1.9 firmware in the greater Boston area. I am an existing customer (3+ years) with an older Motorola 160 GB model and IMG 1.8. From the conversations in this thread it looks like Boston has been waiting quite a while for no particular reason, especially with new customers getting the latest update out of the gate. Hopefully, the predictions of this month (January 2012) will soon come true. I wonder how they will notify us existing customers? Do we wake up one day, switch on the DVR and find it totally changed? A while back, I made a phone call to inquire about getting a new DVR which ended in a dropped call when they transfered me to another department. It's always struck me as a raw deal that loyal customers are stuck with the ancient-technology 160 GB Motorolas with no widely known or publicized way on how to get a newer one. At least with IMG 1.9 we can finally use the eSATA port which I am looking forward to. At last, my family won't have to compete over which HD-recorded shows to delete because the DVR is out of space again, and maybe the responsiveness of the Guide will be better, especially in other rooms.

I called in October and was told middle of November. I guess not. I hope the January time is more accurate, but as it was said, I won't hold my breath. I just got off of a live chat and here's what I was "told" Let me tell you that as currently we are working on it and in a short span time is going to be there, so you will be notified with the e-mail or a flyer. Very disappointing. I only record HD and can only handle a very few shows.

I'm north of Boston and I just received the email notice of IMG 1.9 coming "soon" at 9pm.  We'll have to wait and see ...

My DVR box started recycling at 4:08 AM . I'm in Marlborough, Ma.  Remote control doesn't seem to be able to get the Guide or Menu. I hope this means that Boston is getting cut over as I type. IT is now 4:30 AM and the new HD Guide is on the Screen. It looks like they have finally finished the Boston area.

Yes, it does. We noticed the new HD Guide this morning just a little northwest of Boston. All works fine!  Smiley Happy

IMG 1.9 updated for me last night... Danvers MA

Looks good so far... but I'm really curious to see if the MultiRoom DVR really works for all the connected DVRs now.
