Wow, with the horror stories of people not getting their deposit back, you must be an **bleep** to sign up for Verizon these days.
Perfect credit, seeking new service, no history of late payments or bad reputation with Verizon, still requires a 250 deposit up front before service can be installed. Sales, online chat, and credit verification all say they can't remove the deposit requirement.
Nobody is able to articulate why this requirement exists.
Shove it Verizon, you won't get my business, now or ever.
I pity all the poor saps who signed up for service and paid this deposit. Good luck getting it back and enjoy all the phone calls.
I'll just buy an OTA antenna and cancel service for a couple months then resign-up with my current provider to get their new customer deals.
Verizon is a waste of time AND MONEY.
