Been billed for bundled DSL for 9 years....

Just found out this week that I have been paying $34.99 for DSL for over 9 years, over $4,000. This should have been bundled with my freedom essentials phone plan. Now I am on hold to talk to a supervisor, the first representative said nothing can be done but I find that hard to believe. So what ever happened to customer service? Recognizing a wrong and setting it right? This is still ongoing so I would love to come back and say this is resolved in the future.....not holding my breath though based on the amounts of customer service complaints I am reading.
