A few years ago Verizon had a program that 3 digital adapters where free for life for customers that where with them when they converted from Analog to digital. I was one of those customers. Now when I decided to give their Multi-room DVRs a try, I being charged for the Digital Adapters. When I talked to customer support they said that the system 'erased" the code when I ordered the new equipment and they are unable to reenter the code. So they will only give me a $10 credit for 12 months. So everyone that has a "Lifetime" offer, beware. "Lifetime" is only as long as Verizon feels like supporting the "code"
Have you considered contacting your local Better Business Bureau? If you're keeping all the Digital Adapters (3) you've kept your side of the bargain, no matter what you "add".

I found out the hard way that Verizon doesnt know what the meaning of lifetime ?? I exchanged a faulty digital adapter and got a new one. Not at one time did the person say that i would be charged for the 3 i have. I get my bill for an extra $ 50.00 for the the three adapters. They should tell people so they have a choice rather then being suprised with new bill. As a matter of fact there person at verizon store said they would call me to give me a new plan to save me money and renew. I never heard back from them. With all this nickle and diming verizon is wondering why i wont renew with them. I will send in a complaint to the BBB and i will check verizon competetion to see what deals i can get. If anyone had luck gettng there adapters free for lifetime let me know.
