 Good Afternoon DennisZ,

The primary email address is not able to be changed.  Once the Primary user name is set , it is permanent, You can set a alias for your primary user name .

Thanks,

i have the same problem.  my verizon user ID was setup with an underscore (_) in it.  I don't know how that happened but now i can not use it to sign into HBOGO because they do not recognize passwords with _ in them. Please help.

If your user name has an underscore (as does mine), that will not affect your ability to sign in on HBO Go.  I know this is so because I can do so.

If however you are referring to your password having an underscore, then you can easily change your password to remove this character.  In any case it is a good idea to change your password on a regular basis for security reasons.

My user id and verizon email was set up before I had the system installed.  I want to change the user id and use an email that I actually use.  Why can't you/they allow me to change these items?  Thanks

THose original ids normally can be changed.  Put once its set, you usually can't.

Its not impossible but really hard to get them changed after that.  Usually only allowed in cases such as Identiy theft, etc.  I think they actually close your old accoun number and open a new one to make this change, which is why they don't want to do it.

An Alias can be setup according to this link, http://www.verizon.com/support/residential/internet/fiosinternet/account+tools/email+tools/questions...#

OR My Verizon - Profile- Account settings- VZ email alias - add alias

I just have had the same problem trying to change my user ID to one that is more usable.  I have just spent the last three hours being passed from one person to the next on line and on the phone, several of them quite rude, without making any progress.

Did anyone find a way to change the user ID?  Can anything be done other than change providers?
