Changed Home Phone Number, cannot view account online

Ok, so I have an odd issue that I am not sure how to deal with. I have an apartment. My roommate was paying the home phone bill and had a verizon account for that.  I had the FIOS TV & Internet and had an account for that. We both had My Verizon log ins. So, I decide to take over the phone account and move it to mine and upgrade to FIOS digital voice and use the Triple Play package to save a few bucks.

So, I add a Digital Voice line to my account, we cancel the phone number from my roomates plan and I get a new number for the voice line on my acct. I call a couple days later and get the old number back and remove my new number and replace it with the old number. That way I dont have to give out a new number to everyone. So, all that happens and everything is good.

However, when I log into My Verizon, I cant view or change anything. I can view previous bills and make payments, but thats about it. I logged into the old My Verizon account of my room mate and I can see all 3 services there, but the account is not under his name anymore, so I am confused.

Is there a way to delete a My Verizon acct completely so that old account under my room mate goes away and everything is correctly viewed under my account?

Dave_M-

Since this is an account specific issue, I recommend you contact Verizon directly for help.

Here are links with all means to contact Verizon: http://www22.verizon.com/content/ContactUs/. The Chat link will load after the page is fully loaded.

Note that contacting Verizon by phone, chat, email, or the Contact Us webpage will be totally in vain in a situation like yours, though, Dave_M.

You will go months without anything being resolved.  They will repeatedly offer to reset your password, but it won't do anything.  A few of them will lie and claim that they'll call you back, or that they're creating a ticket and escalating it.

Some people on the forums will offer to help, but that won't actually put you in touch with anyone who can do anything.

The tech support people with Verizon are good, but the people who work on Verizon.com and MyVerizon are totally useless and unable to do anything if you change your home phone number, move, switch an account from one roommate to another, or anything like that.  Your account will become inaccessible, but will also be impossible to de-register your account from its current UserID and register a new one.
