I was shocked to get a note from my credit reporting agencies this morning that Verizon claims that I am late on my payment for over 2 months - which is odd. First, I canceled my verizon service in September of 2016 in which my bill was paid in full. I've not received one notice about any other bill or charges as of today (3/13/2017). I have over the last week been receiving calls from a credit collection agency who I refused to give my personal information because I knew of no outstanding bills. However, my credit report says that I have an outstanding bill of $102. So I called back the collection agency and asked what it was about. However they couldn't produce a bill either or any documentation as to what is for. Not one notice, just calls from a collector and then a hit on my credit report, which was immaculate until today. Has anyone else had this problem with Verizon? I have no clue what the $102 is for and when I signed into my account I can't see what the charges are for.
