Credit score

Hi,

I looked at my credit report and noticed that when I opened my FIOS account Verizon did not only 1 but 2 hard inquiries within 2 days towards my credit score. As much as I like Verizon this seems incorrect and I need to talk to a specialist who can help me dispute this. My credit score did take a pretty hard hit because of this. Who should I talk to?

You will have to file a dispute with the Credit Bureaus. Verizon does a credit checks for new service so only one should be on there.

Hi 1234ABCD,

As this is a peer to peer support forum, you will need to contact Verizon directly for assistance. We have sent you a private message with contact information for a dedicated specialist who is able to help resolve your issue.

Like the other poster stated you can dispute with the credit bureaus.

simply call or go online and tell them it us a duplicate inquiry and they will remove one off the inquiry line.

credit inquiries do not lower the overall score unless there are 5,6 or more showing.

in example go in for a new car and the dealer runs a report then the banks they want to pay them for the loan hit your report. Via their doing the shopping around for a best rate the inquiry hits add up. But lenders understand and overlook it most times.

after a year they dont count, after two years they fall off.
