How do I stop verizon from selling my personal information? Getting tons of new snail mail

is there a setting in my account setting to stop selling my info???

I know its verizon because after i signed up and your agent took my name incorrectly (very odd mispelling) I started getting lots of junk snail mail with this incorrect last name. I would like it to stop. I thank you kindly in advance for guidance on how I can stop this.

just got another piece of mail and a phone call from the leukemia society asking for my verizon incorrect last name. It's getting more and more. What can I do to make this stop? any answers?

There not selling info to such organaztions. 

 

These groups, assuming they are legitamate get the info from public records.
