Any advice on how to get in touch with Verizon? I haven't had landline service (no dialtone) since August 8th. I just got a bill for the month of August and September. Finally I was able to make an online appointment for a technician to come out Sep.7th, meaning I will not have had phone service for a month.
Do I have to pay my bill if I have no service? What are the consumer laws protecting against this?
I feel like I"m in Fallujah. How do you exist in the US, let alone in Manhattan, without phone service for a MONTH because you can't get in touch with anyone via phone, email or text to help set up a repair appt?

If you are having an issue with your Verizon service, you can use the Verizon Troubleshooter report and try to fix issues with your Verizon phone, FiOS TV, or Internet service, as well as to schedule a repair. You can access the Troubleshooter here: http://www.verizon.com/repair. You can also find other tools on our Residential Support page that may help you diagnose your issue: http://www22.verizon.com/residentialhelp/.
Feel free to post any questions in the appropriate forums here as well and a peer will try to help.
