Misleading Gift Card Promise
Hellmonkey
Newbie

I signed up for new service with the triple play bundle back in August with the promise of recieving the $300 gift card if I went with a two year contract. At the time, the no contract price was the same as the contract price. The only reason I went with the contract was to get the Gift Card. Today, during a chat with a customer service rep online they told me I did not qualify for the card because of some discount I picked. I find this rediculous because the price I'm paying is what was advertised (with including the gift card). I didn't get any special discount. I think this was a very underhanded practice to get people to sign up for contracts with the false pretense of recieveing a prepaid card (especially in my case as there was no other incentive to get the contract other than to get the card being that both prices were the same). If I don't recieve the card as promised when I signed up for the service I can't see myself continuing with this service when this contract I was swindled into getting is up.
