I think it is good to put copper on fiber. But a better job is needed to make this happen properly. My phone was forced to fiber and I received letter telling me no visit was required and no fees or anything. But, a tech showed up one day and it all startled my 84 year old mother. Had I been informed that a technician was coming out I would have planned. Plus, I just received my phone bill and was charged $14.45 one time fee for an order to do all of this. So it is unfortunate that the process that was laid out in the letter was not what really happened. The technician came to my house and moved the wiring from the NID to my existing ONT that was here and well, I am still waiting for a response from the form I sent to billing about that charges.
