I'm very confused by a debt from Verizon that keeps showing up on my credit report and is being reported by Verizon monthly. The amount of the debt says "$0" meaning that I've paid the debt off, however, Verizon keeps on reporting the debt every month and keeping it current on my credit report. Due to this, it's bringing my credit down each month even though I'm actively paying on all my credit on time each month. I do remember paying off a debt to Verizon for a home phone I had years ago. The debt listed on my credit report actually says it was opened in 2010. And the last payment made was in 2013 for $294. I paid this debt off in order to have new service with Verizon Wireless (which I have had for the last 2 years and paid on time every single month). Also, I currently have internet and phone service with Verizon that I pay on time every month without fail. My question is...how do I stop Verizon from reporting this old debt every single month when the amount has been paid off and states a $0 balance? Someone please advice me...thanks so much!
