Renewal area stated current monthly charge vs. what's on my bill?

When I click on "Renew Current Contract" I am taken to the renewal area, and it says I should be paying $10 less than what I am currently being billed.  When I have called about this, I get the "Oh its probably a mistake" great, how come we just assume it's in Verizon's favor?

Has anyone else noticed this?
