Last year I wrote to Verizon but never received a response to address a report of "serious delinquency" to Experian with my former Verizon Residential FIOS account (I now only have wireless after moving).  I worked hard to explain the circumstances--I had automatic payments and assumed the final payment would go through like all others, but inexplicably it didn't and the notices they sent went to my old address--and asked for the company to take my ongoing loyalty and otherwise flawless payment record into account.  Once it came to my attention I paid the collection agency, Convergent, immediately.  

I am not one to make late payments and am respectfully asking Verizon to consider the full context and circumstances around the lack of payment for my final month of FIOS service.  Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

I had FIOS internet connection. As I was relocating and happy with Fios,
I hoped to transfer my service to new location. But they said Fios service is not available in new lwocation and asked me to cancel the service. I cancelled the service and asked if there is any due I need to pay. They said I didn't have any dues, but actually I would get refund from Verizon.. I now am planning for a mortgage loan, I was shocked to see that Verizon put a collection entry on my credit report when I have a long good standing account with Verizon mobile even still to this day.  I haven't received a bill at all for this ...

There was definitely some communicating errors on this and I still don't know what the fee is for?? I checked my on-line account and cannot find a  due balance.
I contacted service department and they couldn't give proper answer.

Lastly and most importantly,  I want to remove the negative entry from my credit report, I need to understand/validate the amount you are thinking I owe..  and also I plea for you to remove entry from credit report and lastly send final statement.

Please help by removing the entry from credit report, I am a hardworking, widowed, single mom. Please. These negative points are making me unable to buy a home.. 

I love Verizon, I've not had a negative experience, but if there are any to be had, this is the most hurtful.. I pray that this message forwards to re proper personnel.

If you need to talk to a Verizon representative, you should contact customer service directly at 1-800-VERIZON.  If you are posting about a credit reporting issue that you have previously contacted Verizon about, please reply to this post with a brief description of the issue.

I've having the same issue as the previous posters. Cancelled service (had for only one month) got final bill all paid in full then in nov got charge of 43. Called Verizon and was transferred to collection agency. Never recieved any notice until the verzion bill. Looked on my online account to see charges says balance of 0.00. But there is a lingering charge of 43 not sure where this came from.

I have an account which is an year old and was cancelled 1 year ago. Verizon was supposed to give me the credit for the $61. Something happened and their system started to show that I owe them $61. After several calls they fixed that. Now I got a collection notice after 1 year for the same amount and they reported that to transunion and now it is showing up on my credit report that I have a collection from verizon fro $61. I have tried calling verizon several times. There representative don't know anything because the account is showing 0 balance. They transfer me to Financial Services and they say oh that's bad and incorrect and let us forward you to credit department. When they transfer to credit deparment I get automated message "your call cannot be connected please hang up" and phone disconnects. This is so frustrating and verizon people are doing nothing about this. 

This needs to be fixed and they need to inform transunion that they reported incorrectly !!!!!!!
