Verizon ruined my credit history by making me liable for nonexistent pmnts

Hi, i have an issue with verizon. In February, 2019 i moved from one apt to another within the same building. So I transfered fios services to my new apt but was informed that renovation in my new apt was not over. As i needed inet, a new temporarily fios account was opened on Feb 1, 2019 and i was informed that i would be charged for the actual days used- 5 days. When i moved out on Feb 5th, 2019, i called and cancelled the temporary account. On March 2nd i was charged $82.48 - the total monthly amount. I called verizon billing department 4 times explaining the situation, was advised that the pmnt has been adjusted and amount of $68.73 for the unused days would be paid back- a check would be issued within 5 weeks. When i received neither a credit to my account nor a check, i called again on June 4th. Finally a verizon rep issued a credit of 68.73$ towards my active account. Today i received a notification from experian stating that my credit history went down for 102 points due to the fact that verizon opened a collection case against me as a peson who doesnt pay his bills. Now, my already closed account shows that i have to pay $82.48 for February 2019 (which was paid back in february and i have official verizon letter confirming this), and $68.73 for June 2019( which was credited to my active account as a settlement amount out lf my temporary closed account). Moreover, verizon without any notifications reported to collection agency for nonexistent pmnt and thus ruined my credit history for 102 points. As a result of the story, instead of getting a credit for the unused days, i have a 137$ balance to pay of nonexistent pmnt and my credit history is messed.

Contact the three credit bureaus and open up a dispute. Be prepared to show the payments, the credits, the times and dates of calls to and from verizon and to whom.

the credit bureaus will investigate and get back to you within 30 days.

by the way a ding from one creditor will not drop you 102 points. There is more to this credit file that is occurring. Find out what it is.
