Why do I have a $300.00 gift certificate YET I cant apply that to my bill???

Hello,
If you are referring to the $300 Verizon Prepaid VISA card, that is a semi-credit card that can be used at retailers where VISA is accepted. It can be used to pay for gas, groceries, clothing/accessories, etc.
You can also use it to pay your bill at a pay machine location that takes VISA credit cards.
Does the card not work if you try to pay your bill online as a one-time payment?
Perhaps your card requires activation prior to using it?

From what I remember it was not a generic card. It has a list of merchants the card is accepted.
