Having two separate communities allows us to improve the user experience by changing the structure of  the categories and to organize the content by subject matter rather then having all posts for 1 topic to roll up into a single board.  For example,  the new Verizon Wireless Droid Category is an example of what we’ll have more freedom to do.   In the future, it also will allow My Verizon Wireless users to be able to use their My Verizon Wireless ID to sign into the community without needing to sign into My Verizon Wireless and the Verizon Wireless Community separately.
