Child Safety - Creating the Right Digital Experience

by Employee Emeritus ‎07-14-2010 02:08 PM - edited ‎07-14-2010 02:09 PM

Child SafetyLinda Criddle, president of the Safe Internet Alliance, is the author of “New Trends in Child Safety Monitoring Tools for Cell Phones” which offers solid advice for parents of kids with cell phones (which is nearly everyone, given recent usage stats).  Her main points:

  1. Take the time to select a mobile device and a calling plan that is appropriate for your child.
  2. Have the “Talk.”
  3. Continue having the “Talk”. (Point well taken to continue talking to your child as they get older and need a new perspective on what’s acceptable and what’s not.)
  4. Decide if your child needs additional safety or monitoring tools.

Determining the right digital experience for your family isn’t as complex as it sounds.  Please visit our parental control site and see what tools you can use to make you and your family’s digital experience the best it can be.
