Update the Faq's ?   Maybe let power users like chili and the such update this and admins can approve them?  Ie  What is a Premium text and how can I stop it?  Or Text messing what I can and can't Monitor?  Just a few I am sure the Chili can think of several. Would reduce a bit of the repeat questions if we had a link to faq them to

Thanks for all the hard work mods/admins

I guess I would enjoy keeping the FAQs updated and all, but people would never read them. They don't now. So instead I link back to posts that have already been solved or that have a good discussion in them. So I don't really see it as necessary to keep the FAQs updated on a regular basis. I think it would be an act of futility since no one is really going to read them in the first place.

But I digress, I welcome change. So if there comes a time where users can indeed edit the FAQs I will be there diligently typing away.

The forum is where those FAQ's become FAQ's - and can be addressed in the file.  I agree it should be updated as time goes on.  And I agree that a lot of folks do not read them.  The ones that DO read them and get their questions answered likely never post in the forum because the FAQ has worked!

IF the FAQ were kept updated there may be a decrease in the forum traffic, or a shift in the questions being asked.  It would make the forums more interesting (for me, at least) than answering the same basic questions repeatedly.  After all, that is the whole point of a FAQ file in the first place....d...uh!

Anyway, I would be willing to spend some time compiling and writing some FAQ's and A's, if only to save some time and repetition on the boards, and to be able to give someone handy links to real answers.  Organizing and compiling and verifying the information is a big job--but doable and the results will be worth it, I feel.

Just my thoughts.....
