I'd like to recommend a new topic for "Product Recalls" be placed on the general menu. Frequently some manufacturer will recall a product for various reasons that could impact safety, and many customers are unaware of the recall. Consumer Reports has had such a feature for years in their magazine. With the growing electronic integration of so many devices in our lives, it would be handy if VZ customers who became aware of such recalls might post an alert for other customers in a place that is convenient since one would already be on the forums.
Product recalls for Verizon hardware? If it's not Verizon-related, it probably belongs in the Off-Topic board.
No, I wasn't thinking of VZ hardware when I made the recommendation. I was thinking of all of the various components and parts that make up a modern entertainment system, everything from the TV, to the cables, AV receivers and so on. As a Sony TV owner, I was spurred on by the Oct recall of some of their TVs, a recall that seems to have gone unnoticed. I merely thought that since people who are enthusiastic about their entertainment are already at this website, why not have some relevant recall information handy? Many would be surprised at just what and how many consumer products are being recalled - from flashlights to ottomans. There are several websites at which to get such information, and this is but one:

Obviously, we don't want to turn into Consumer reports; but if something does impact the entertainment experience, maybe it would be worth noting. That's all.
