I like to read and/or search through a forum before asking a question. Due to the color and size of the typeface of this board, I find after several minutes I am squenching my eyes from the strain of reading such light and small text.
Before I begin typing a post in this forum, I always change the typeface color to black and the font size to 3. However, these settings do not remain. As I type, I can see a black line under the A in the format toolbar, but the color of this typeface is actually light gray, as you can see. When I hit return to start a new paragraph, the font also returns to its default size, which I must change again.
I hope this design will be reconsidered.

This is maybe an idea that will help with reading the threads/posts.
#1 Use Firefox with NoSquin.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592
#2 use Default FullZoom Level
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965
#3 OR by the looks of things, you can also go to My Settings : Preferences -> Text Size.

Yes, I see what you mean about repling. And I am not happy, either.

Hello dslr595148, Thank you very much for the suggestions. I use FireFox and that addon shall be useful on other websites as well. Now this is very weird. I have not manually changed the font size of this post, yet it is larger than the default size of my original post. Could it be because it is in HTML view? Cora
My text preference is set to X-large but it has never made a difference.

I missed a step, but I see you figured it out.
My Settings -> Preferences -> Display.
Duh, on me!

It appears that those addons, override any website settings on how small/large the text.

Yes, I did. Thanks again, Cora
Again, when I used HTML the typeface appears large when I type. Perhaps that is the secret. 🙂
