A New Website Just for Small Business Owners

A New Website Just for Small Business Owners
Employee Emeritus Employee Emeritus ‎05-16-2012 08:49 PM

Did you see it? The new and exciting updates that we launched on our website designed just for you: http://smallbusiness.verizon.com/. From time-to-time, many of you have provided feedback that influenced our 2012 product road map, and this input was used to significantly improve the online user experience for the entire Verizon Small Business community. One of our goals has been to extend our ‘worry free’ guarantee to all facets of our relationship with small business customers.

Here are a few of the changes we’ve made recently.  We hope you’ll find these enhancements helpful while on our site:

1.     Global Home Page

You’ll find the Verizon Small Business global home page organized in a more user-friendly way. This cleaner version of the home page allows you to find the information you want and need quickly and easily.

2.     Global Navigation

It’s now much easier for you to access relevant account information and the products and services to which you subscribe on http://smallbusiness.verizon.com. Information is organized into Services, Shop, My Account and Support.  These main navigation topics appear at the top of all small business pages.

User feedback drove terminology edits and simplification of the tabs and menu layout across the site. We also simplified the My Business and Support tabs to create a streamlined path to information you need about your small business account.

Finally, we have increased password security using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology – helping you to better protect your information. Some users will need to update their passwords and security questions/answers to meet the new requirements.

3.     eSupport

With this round of improvements, we also consolidated the support function.  This should give you a more seamless interaction with our technical support team. My Account users may now access authenticated content.

4.     eRepair

Contributing further to Verizon’s worry-free commitment to our small business customers, we’ve put the power in your hands!  Now, you can check on a repair ticket online 24/7. The anytime-repair-ticket option offers greater flexibility to your interaction with Verizon Small Business. This update includes:

  • 10 common troubleshooting wizards
  • Enter a support ticket and check the repair status online
  • Modify your call forwarding settings without talking to a rep.
  • Resetting your voice mail password
  • Setting up your Wi-Fi service

We still offer other online help, including the automated agent, a large database of phone, TV and applications support topics, and peer and VZ expert help in the Discussion Forums.  And, as always, you can continue to contact our support professionals during normal business hours.

Up next! In the coming weeks, we’ll also be launching a new and consolidated My Business Account platform. Stay tuned to this blog for more information as the date nears.

We hope you’ll agree that change can be a good thing.  As we strive to improve your experience and interaction with our website, we know that you’re time is valuable.  Our commitment is to providing you with the information you need about your account so you can better manage your business needs.  We also want to better organize our other products and services that can help you to grow in the future.  And, we want to make sure you take advantage of all of the other value-added services and support that Verizon offers your business—that cable doesn’t!

Please take a few minutes to visit your new website and let us know what you think, thanks!
