Starting today, Verizon is beginning to offer the highest FiOS Quantum Internet speed tier yet in markets where our all-fiber FiOS network is available – 500 Megabits per second (Mbps) for downloading and 100 Mbps for uploading.

These types of speeds enable users to download a 250-megabyte high-definition company promotion video in 4 seconds, or upload a 2-megabyte architectural blueprint in about 0.16 seconds.  That’s likely faster than the blink of an eye.  While this speed is incredible, it also poses questions like…

So how would increased Internet speeds help grow your business?

For a business sending and receiving large files – such as videos, medical images, data backup, etc. – faster Internet speeds can improve productivity and profitability as you’ll be able to move information more quickly.  Also, with the ease of sending large files you can possibly cut down on (or stop altogether) shipping those files overnight.

With more customers doing business online, future proofing your speed is key to capturing that growth. With higher speeds there’s also less concern your online experience will degrade when you add more employees or broadband devices to your network.

Check out this video to learn why you should consider upgrading to higher speeds.  If you don’t know how fast your Internet speed is get a speed test; go to this linkhttp://vz.to/19dUPTE.

The new top speed of 500/100 Mbps is only offered on a stand-alone basis, starting at $369.99 per month with a two-year agreement.  The service also is available on a no-contract, month-to-month basis.

For more information on faster speeds or the suite of Verizon Solutions for Business Bundles services for your business visit www.verizon.com/smallbusiness or call 1-877-FiOS-BIZ (1-877-346-7249).   All bundled solutions include Verizon Internet Security Suite, Verizon Online Backup & Sharing, 24/7 support and more.

Now, how would your business use faster speeds?
