Consumers Win As FiOS ‘Flexes’ Its Innovation Muscle Again

Convenience is the name of the game these days, especially when it comes to managing and personalizing your content.

Consumers want instant access to all of their content – anytime, anywhere and on any device.

We’re continuously working to deliver that flexibility for customers with a variety of apps because we know everyone has their unique preferences and priorities when it comes to consuming content.

For example, the FiOS DVR Manager app lets you manage your recordings with a smartphone or tablet, while FiOS Mobile Remote turns your device into an extra remote control for the TV.

One of our most popular apps is Flex View, which offers FiOS customers more than 4,400 movie and TV shows for rent or purchase on your TV, PC and certain mobile devices.

This week we’re adding to the growing list of compatible devices with Apple’s iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad1, iPad2 and iTouch4.  Catch up on shows like “Gossip Girl” and “The Closer” before the new seasons start, or check out movies like “Rango” and “Something Borrowed.”  By expanding the list of compatible devices, we’re continuing to put the power of technology into the hands of our consumers.

The Flex View news doesn’t stop there.  We’ve now made it possible for FiOS customers to use the new personal Flex View Library to store, manage and access personal content, in addition to movies and TV shows.  This means that FiOS subscribers can store their personal photos, music and videos with Flex View and retrieve them just like purchased or rented titles – any time, from any location.

With 32 GB of free, secure, online storage available per customer, you can upload your family photos and videos along with your music and enjoy it all on your mobile device, online or on your PC.

Make sure to check out the Flex View Media Manager Library, and start uploading your personal content.  If you don’t have Flex View for your movies and TV shows yet, you can download the FiOS On Demand app here.  Stay tuned for more FiOS app news as we’re always working on making your experience bigger, better and more convenient.
