1129i316E449A0643046DWith FiOS TV, you already have hundreds of channel offerings to view at your leisure, but it’s always fun to find something new. Whether you’re a movie buff or a diehard sports fans, our fully loaded schedule of free previews this summer will give customers the chance to sample a host of channel offerings.

To begin, you don’t want to miss this year’s action-packed French Open, the premier clay court event.  The Tennis Channel’s free preview will be running through June 4, so whether you want to check out men’s singles or women’s doubles, this channel is the “Home of the Slams” and available to you on channels 303 in SD, 592 in HD.  The Tennis Channel is available year-round to FiOS customers who subscribe to the Ultimate HD package.

If baseball is more your thing, and you’re not yet a subscriber to MLB Extra Innings, make sure to check out the package’s free preview on FiOS TV channels 1475–1488 and in HD on channels 1473 and 1474.  We’ll be showcasing all the games from July 15 to July 21.

There are plenty of freebies for movie fans too.  In June, FiOS customers can try out HBO and Cinemax free of charge from June 25 to June 28.  You’ll not only get to sample the HBO and Cinemax channels (available in SD on channels 400-431, HD on channels 899-931), but also HBO and Cinemax On Demand.  With the new season of “Entourage” premiering June 27 and “True Blood” starting just two weeks earlier, this is the perfect time to catch up with Sookie and Bill and see what Ari, Vince and the boys have been up to.  And don’t forget – if FiOS TV customers subscribe to one of our HBO packages, they also have free and unlimited access to HBO GO, HBO's online video hub featuring over 600 hours of HBO programming.

The following month, film junkies can enjoy a free sample of EPIX, the all-movie channel that launched on FiOS last year.  From July 16 to July 18, FiOS customers can enjoy all that EPIX has to offer on channels 395 in SD, 895 in HD.  With hundreds of movies to choose from, including “Pink Panther” and “Paranormal Activity” premiering in July, EPIX has something for everyone.

Pop some popcorn or grab that bag of peanuts and enjoy the latest movies, baseball games and tennis matches this summer.  And don’t forget to let us know how you like these previews in your comments below.

Except that Verizon has chosen to not show the French Open Men's final. They have chosen to provide NO INFORMATION on their site regarding this oversight. These smiling faces of people on this site who are here to make Verizon such a great product make me want to yell at my computer screen.  THIS IS A MAJOR OVERSIGHT AND MAJOR BUSINESS BLUNDER!!!!  YOU EITHER PROVIDE IT ON ANOTHER CHANNEL AND LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW WHERE IT IS, OR YOU AT THE VERY LEAST APOLOGIZE FOR NOT SHOWING IT!!!!!!!!!!

We apologize for any miscommunication. The Tennis Channel determined the dates for the free preview. The French Open Men's Final was avaialble on NBC, but we're sorry that it was not mentioned in this blog post.
