1059iB69BD8D7F42C1828Many of you ask us here on the at Home blog and on Twitter about adding new channels to FiOS TV’s already extensive lineup; we hear you and we are always looking to add more content, especially channels that are important to our customers.

One request has been to expand our international programming, which already includes nearly 40 different channels covering 20 languages.  We are happy to announce today the launch of two new channels: Cantonese channel TVBe and Korean channel SBS.

The two new channels are already available in many FiOS TV markets, and will be accessible in all regions by next week. With TVBe (channel 1798), we’re presenting FiOS TV’s first Cantonese-language channel.  For $16.99 per month, TVBe offers a variety of programming that includes up-to-the-minute entertainment news reports, a same-day news feed, themed-dramas and more.  SBS, Seoul Broadcasting Corp. (channel 1762), is the number one Korean general entertainment channel with dramas, news, music-variety, animation, movies and TV series.  SBS joins YTN (channel 1761) and MBC (channel 1760) in a Korean package that is available for $24.99 per month.

Customers who want to purchase TVBe or the Korean package can do so right on the TV screen.  Using Verizon’s on-screen ordering, just click on the one of the channels, confirm with the FiOS TV remote control, and start viewing in minutes.  Anyone who already subscribes to the Korean package will automatically receive the new SBS addition.

Now is a great time to order TVBe or our Korean package.  New customers who order one of our triple-play bundles could be eligible to get one of Verizon’s international packages free for six months.  For more information, you can call 1-877-576-7015 for customer service support in Chinese or 1-877-729-7015 for Korean.

So where's the story about FIOS adding the 15+ HD channels that Comcast is now carrying that VZ doesn't?

Oh, that's right.
