Should I stick with port 25 or change it to port 587? What is the difference? Why should I use one over the other?

I clicked on "Receive All" in Mail & all of my saved e-mails were not downloaded. They are still on the Verizon server. How do I download all of my saved e-mails?

stick with port 25

port 587 is an alternative port commonly used for SMTP... nothing you need to worry about, for an @verizon.net email addy

ONLY the INBOX items from www.verizon.net "the server" will be downloaded to outlook... you can FWD the "saved" emails to yourself, using the webmail,  and then they will be in the inbox, and you can d/l to outlook.
