I can't reach any customer support so I'll try here.  I moved to a new house and had fios installed last week.  Today I disconnected my dsl line at the old house and assumed my existing email account would remain.  Now I get a message saying email account has been suspended.  Online help is useless, the robot doesn't understand the question or directs me to a list of topics but none of them are for email.  Finally found a number to call and have been on hold for over an hour waiting for the next available rep.  Are they going to delete my email account and all the emails in it?  I can't let that happen.  Verizon support sucks!

Accept to term of service on the Fios account activate.verizon.net and you will need tech support to do an email scrub.

Re: EMAIL ACCOUNT IS LOCKED NO ONE HOME AT VERIZON. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I have been a customer of Verizon, email, web access and cells for almost 20 years, but today I think I am getting ready to fire Verizon.  With no warning, my email was shut off, or locked, for "security reasons."  I am not overseas and have had these email addresses for 15 plus years. I spend 7 hours on the phone with several reps and so called customer service people who could do nothing for me, tell me anything other than the standard lines, or provide me with any fixes.  I was finally able to get a temp pass code, but then the websites would not allow me to log into my account.  I cannot access my email, lost a huge amount of money today on a property and still cannot get my emails.  They would not tell me why I was locked out, what caused the so called security breach, nor would they fill in my now erased profile to help me get my email back up.  Not only did I lose $30k today in business, I got the worlds worst run around and nobody, I mean nobody, at Verizon would tell me the truth.  I couldn't even get them to tell me if there was a simple computer problem in my area (Texas folks, not overseas).  AND THEN, I was told if there was a lock out of your email account, they would email you to let you know,,,,,REALLY!!!!!!!!

I am beyond upset, worst customer service experience in my life, 7 hours of wasted time with NO results and still no email.

I cannot understand why I cannot access my personal page at Verizon to fix anything. For the first time ever, and I was a die hard Verizon fan, I will most likely be cancelling all my Verizon accounts.  I will also be pushing for my civilian and military employer to cancel Verizon and move to another carrier who can actually answer a customers questions and actually do something to help them.  They actually had the nerve at the end of the conversation, after several "I'm sorries," to tell me, "have a nice day and thank you for calling Verizon."  REALLY!!!!!!!!!!

AT&T here I come I think.

Amazing

Elizabeth,,,

That was the same customer service line I got all day,,,and it did not work and nobody was willing to help me other than say they will fill out a form and they will get back to me after the next billing cycle.  As others wrote, after being locked out, we cannot access our online profiles.

Email disabled for overseas users

After two days of being shut out of the Verizon email server I was finally informed by tech support that without prior notice Verizon has disabled access to emails for all users traveling abroad.  The company line was that there was a high level of hackers from overseas and that they were only protecting the users interests.  Unfortunately, those of us who has dedicated our Verizon accounts to everything including our work and business are pretty much screwed and since I am abroad 9 months out of the year, I have a major issue.  I finally got a tech to tell me that they will turn on my email within 24-48 hours but not sure if that is just me or for everybody.  So in the interlude to resolve my issues today, I tasked my Gmail account to recieve and forward all my Verizon emails.  While this works, it starts by forwarding everything since the begining of time.  So if you are in a bandwidth challenged area, it will take some time.  But at least it will get you back in business.  Hope this helps, but suggest you contact Verizon to have them switch your service back on while abroad.

Well I'm in Spain on vacation since 9/13/14 and i had full email service through 9/17/14 and then I lost it. I've been to Europe  before(Spain and France) and had no problem using my email. I'm very angry about this. People do travel a bit nowadays and IF this is really a company policy and not some cost-cutting measure we should have been notified by Verizon that as a matter of policy they need to be notified if we're traveling abroad. I don't use email for business but for communication and to stay in touch with people. AND i've been unable to contact Verizon because my email is down. And i'm not going to spend a small fortune trying to contact them by phone. I have a Yahoo account but I never use it and I don't remember the password. I appreciate the post I'm responding to because otherwise I would have had no idea what was happening. I'm going to have to rethink my service provider.

I am in Italy and am having exactly the same problem; 48 hours or so after arriving, my email, including access to webmail, has been cut off. More, I keep getting rerouted back to the Verizon homepage when I try to contact support. This shows that Verizon doesn't understand life and business beyond the borders of the US. If they read this forum, I pray that someone will man up and reconnect my service.
